Of saints and sinners
The wise once spoke
With guilt laid heavy
Their consciences broke

In fire they burned
All sins away
But saved their guilt
For another day

Tortured are we
Those left behind
Holding our guilt
For the future to find

It was inspired by the movie Boondock Saints. If you haven't seen it you should.

All one requires is that perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite.

Great, this is awesome. One line flows to the next in perfect meter, never breaking pace. You've got the rhythm down... you should really try to break away from rhyme now and then so you can take the beat even further.

But I liiiike rhyme...
:iconnippykitty:
But rhyme is the paramecium of poetry... or to put it more colliqually... like rap! Flee!
:iconaerzaal:
Rhyme is overrated, a technique to be used for effect where applicable, like rhythm or form. That aside, I love the content of this.

You wouldn't happen to be a proponent of the late Anton LaVey, would you? He held similar views...
